Title: Verdi: Requiem (BHCS Spring Concert)
Performed by: Burgess Hill Choral Society
Time: Saturday, 26 April 2014, at 7:30pm
Place: St Andrew’s Church, Burgess Hill
Description: Verdi’s Requiem, full of drama and passion, has been described as “the best opera that Verdi never wrote”.
BHCS is a friendly and vibrant choir of around 80 singers. We are led by a dynamic conductor/musical director, Michael Stefan Wood, who was recently awarded a British Empire Medal for services to the musical community. Mike makes rehearsals fun, leading to inspired performances. We employ young, semi-professional soloists and are accompanied by an orchestra comprising well-tried local musicians.
