Description: | The International Interview Concerts at Worthing step beyond solo piano events. DUO Arnicans introduce the richly romantic music of cello and piano to the audience In The Round at St Paul’s Cafe Worthing (BN11 1EE) at 7.30pm. The 2010 Sussex International Piano Competition winner Arta Anicane (Latvia) and husband Florian Arnicans (Germany) return to Worthing from their Zurich base with a programme of relaxing song-like pieces by Bach (Arioso), Schubert (Standchen), Mendelssohn (Song Without Words), Dvorak (Melodie), Casals (Song of the Birds), Ravel (Habanera) and Josef Suk (Serenade), culminating in Brahms’ exciting fully-blown second Sonata for Cello and Piano. Audience Questions spot, Meet The Musicians, CDs on sale, cafe serving. Interactive, innovative, intimate - a social experience as well as a concert one.
