Description: | Familiar Medieval English and old German, French, Spanish and Finnish carols with timeless seasonal readings, performed by a London-based international group – in an intimate and magical authentic ambience. Carols you’ve heard but did not realise were hundreds of years old. With interactive Q&A and two appropriate gift stalls. Carols to expect, in specialist performance, include the Coventry Carol, Angelus ad Virginem, Veni Veni Emmanuel, Gaudete, Ther is No Rose, Il est Ne le Divin Enfant, Riu Riu Chio. The Telling are singers Clare Norburn and Ariane Prussner (Germany) with Medieval harpist and recorder player Kaisa Pulkkinen (Finland) and film, TV, radio and audio books voice Patience Tomlinson. In the run-up to this touring Yuletide show at Worthing, The Telling were on BBC Radio Sussex and then on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Saturday Live’ on December 9, when they were interviewed and sang the Catalan El Noi de la Mare and the anonymous Medieval Lullay My Child.
