| Description: | Baroque & Bouzouki CHRIS CHRISTODOULOU Bouzouki ANNE MARSHALL Piano The Bouzouki, a musical instrument synonymous with Greece, was with 3 strings and associated with the early traditions of Byzantine and Arabian music. From the Westernization of Greek music in the 20th Century, the bouzouki became a more modern instrument and a 4th set of strings was added. Thus giving birth to the 4-string bouzouki, which became popular all over Greece. Now we are into the second decade of the 21st Century, and bouzouki player Chris Christodoulou presents here a unique recital. He will perform his own transcriptions of Western classical pieces from the Baroque period. Programme Concerto in D Major, RV93 A.
