Description: Maeve Jenkinson, violin, was a scholar at the Royal College of Music where she was awarded numerous prizes, including the top prize for violin and chamber music. She furthered her studies in the USA, funded by scholarships from the Royal Society of Arts, Countess of Munster Musical Trust, and was awarded a full fellowship to study at the Aspen Music Festival. She played with the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields, and I Solisti Veneti, before taking up the position of no. 5, 1st Violin in the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed in concert venues around the world with world famous conductors, such as Simon Rattle and Bernard Haitink, participated in film sessions, and led the London Philharmonic at Glyndebourne and the Royal Festival Hall. Maeve currently teaches violin and chamber music at the East Sussex Academy of Music and Moira House Girl’s School. She is Musical Director of the Corelli Ensemble, first violinist of the Ludlay String Quartet and continues to play regularly with the London Philharmonic. She has recently moved to Seaford where she enjoys living with her two children.

Rachel Fryer, piano, has been widely praised for her depth of musical understanding, sensitive interpretations and virtuosity. Active both as soloist and accompanist, she has performed throughout Britain at venues including Croydon's Fairfield Hall and St. John Smith's Square and for music societies including the Beethoven Piano Society. Beyond the UK's borders, Rachel has toured with Cunard and other liners including on the QE2’s Millennium Cruise, for which she helped coordinate the musical programme. Her recordings have been broadcast on Classic FM and on European radio and television. Rachel moved to Sussex in 2002 and is a Visiting Lecturer in Piano Studies and Accompanist at the East Sussex Academy of Music in Lewes. She is also Concert Director for Music and Wine at St. Luke’s, based in Queen’s Park, Brighton. Rachel's educational background is very diverse, having studied as far afield as Kharkov, Ukraine, The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and The Royal College of Music, where she was awarded a Masters Degree in Advanced Performance and many prizes.
