| Description: | Gordon Campbell, one of Britain's leading trombonists, is to make a special guest appearance at this year's Chichester Festival. He will be performing with the Southdowns Concert band , under the musical direction of Mr Tom Hodge MBE. Gordon has been lead trombone with the BBC Big Band since 1984, and is currently Trombone Professor at the Royal Academy of Music, and the Royal Marine School of Music in Portsmouth. His varied career has found him working with many of the world's leading performers such as Ella Fitzgerald and Shirley Bassey. The concert will feature music from stage and screen, including highlights from 'Orpheus in the Underworld', ' Les Miserables',' Saving Private Ryan' and 'West Side Story'. |
