Description: | Brahms: Eine Deutsches Requiem Beethoven: Symphony No. 6 in F major “Pastoral” Brahms himself would have preferred to call the work ‘a Human Requiem’ and intended it primarily as a consolation and comfort for the living and bereaved. It became the central and possibly most profound and moving work of his career Burgess Hill Choral Society performs to a high standard. The concert features soloists from the Royal College of Music and a full concert orchestra. Mike Wood, our Musical Director and Conductor, is the charismatic MC for this event. The King’s Church, 33-35 Victoria Road, Burgess Hill, RH15 9LR (NOT OUR USUAL VENUE) is a short taxi trip or 25 minute walk from Burgess Hill main line railway station. Car parking is available at the venue and on nearby streets. The venue has disabled access. Refreshments served during interval.
