Description: Counterpoint Arts' Summer Music Festival will start on Friday at 7.30pm with the Counterpoint Chamber Choir singing works by Holst, Schubert, English folk songs and songs by Copland and Mc Cabe.

Vaninne Parker will sing Schubert's 'Shepherd on the Rock' for soprano, clarinet and piano and Francis Rauner will play Gershwin's 'Rhapsody in Blue' for piano.

A bar will be available.

On Saturday there will be an Opera Evening, preceded by a champagne reception at 5.30pm, performed by the soloists of Counterpoint Arts. The programme includes exerpts from 'The Magic Flute', and 'The Marriage of Figaro'.

After the 90 minuter interval for the audience's picnic supper, the programme concludes with lighter music, including Gershwin's 'Porgy and Bess' and songs by Noel Coward.

A bar will be available.

On Sunday there will be a performance of Madrigals at 3pm, followed by a cream tea accompanied by a string quartet.

Tickets are available for the whole weekend or can be bought from the organisers separately.

This excellent location is a perfect out door venue. The performances take place in a large marquee situated in extensive grounds with every amenity.
