||Kiev-born pianist Alexei Grynyuk was only thirteen when he won the first prize at the Sergei Diaghilev piano competition in Moscow, the first of many similar awards.
Alexei has studied at the Kiev Conservatoire and the Royal Academy. He has been invited to give solo recitals at many prestigious venues, as well as radio and TV broadcasts, and has been described by ‘Le Figaro’ as a “…master of transparent touch... with absolutely transcendental virtuosity”. As well as more familiar works, his programme will include a piano version of “Petrushka”.
||The Society's concerts are open to non-members, and tickets, priced at £12 adults, £11 seniors and £3 students (with reductions for members) are available from Carousel Music or on the door. To encourage parents to bring their family along, up to two adults accompanied by an under-18 will be admitted for half price
