|Description:||TRAVEL THE WORLD - in seven concerts
The fascinating series of concerts performed by the University of Sussex distinguished organist, D'Arcy Trinkwon.
This academic year features music from all over the world: we’re travelling all over the world. We can’t go everywhere, but we can go to many places and see what the music was - and is - like. We may be restricted to 45 minutes each time but can still explore a riot of musical colour and mood.
TODAY: SPAIN – PORTUGAL – ARGENTINA
de Conceicao: Batalha de quinto tono
Seixas: Sonata XVIII in C minor
de Arauxo: Tiento XXXVI
Ginastera: Toccata, Villancico y fuga
Camlleri: Wine of Peace
The problem of designing such a series? It isn’t deciding what to play, but wrestling with the decisions - which change constantly! - of what I’d like to play but there isn’t time to include! The choice of music is endless................................
