| Description: | Rossini’s “Petite Messe Solennelle” is neither small nor entirely solemn. This intriguing piece is well worth hearing. The instrumental accompaniment was originally scored for piano and harmonium, and this is the version BHCS will be performing, accompanied by Kate Matthews on piano and Neil Matthews on harmonium. The concert features four local professional soloists. Mike Wood BEM, our Musical Director and Conductor, is the charismatic MC for this event. Refreshments will be available during the interval. The venue is a short taxi ride or 20 minute walk from Burgess Hill main line railway station (or 10 minutes walk from Wivelsfield Station). Car parking is available on nearby streets. The venue has disabled access. |
