Description: Alun Francis, Clarinet

Since leaving the Royal Academy of Music Alun has a successful career as a freelance musician and teacher. Performing solo and chamber music recitals as well as orchestral playing. He teaches the clarinet both in schools and privately. He is an enthusiastic teacher that wishes to inspire the younger generation with his passion for music and the clarinet.

Maria Gibson, Guitar

Maria graduated with Distinction from the Italian Conservatoria of Verona in Classical Guitar, History of Music and Music Therapy. Her Italian career was focussed on performing as a soloist, and in chamber music, working closely with local music organisations and teaching in Italia Music Academies.
Since moving to the UK Maria has been teaching classical guitar for Create Music, (formerly East Sussex Music Service), working in the Brighton and East Sussex area. She has also been involved in a variety of ensembles, which includes Chiaroscuro Duo, Sussex Guitar Quartet, Armonia Duo, Duo Mali, performing in UK and Europe. She is currently exploring a new repertoire with the Trio Nuovo.
Maria’s focus is South American music, with warm dreamy melodies that bring out the beauty of the classical guitar sound.

Sue Gregg, Flute/Piccolo

After gaining an honours degree in Music at Exeter University Sue continued her flute studies with Richard Blake in Sussex. She is a founder member of the Sussex Concert Orchestra and performed Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 with Sir Philip Ledger at its inaugural concert. Sue is a regular player for Opera South East and other Sussex-based orchestras and has performed concertos with many local orchestras.
