| Description: | Sisters Berniya and Riya Hamie are among the latest elite BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists, as the founding members of Astatine Trio. Here, they appear in their other virtuoso guise, performing irresistibly compelling superb piano and soulful cello as Hamie Duo. And yes, you’re wondering! . . . it’s “Burn-eye-er and ‘Ree-er Hay-mee”. They bring the two big romantic and dramatic Cello Sonatas by Chopin and Rachmaninov – music to really get your emotional teeth into! – plus three other pieces, being kept secret until the day, which further showcase the siblings’ instrumental world and artistry. The format is full concert performance, plus interviewing conversations, audience questions, and also the musical features ‘Guess The Composer’ and ‘Give It A Title’. These elements always create a special intimate and interactive concert experience at this marvellous venue.
